Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Electrician to join our team in San Diego. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience across industrial, commercial, and residential projects and is comfortable working independently as well as part of a crew. This role requires strong technical knowledge of power distribution, motor and control systems, and standard field installation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across industrial, commercial, and residential settings
• Work with 3-phase circuits, including 480V and 277V systems
• Install, wire, and troubleshoot motors and motor control systems
• Perform conduit bending (EMT, rigid, PVC) and proper routing
• Build and install Unistrut support assemblies and racking
• Operate scissor lifts and other aerial equipment safely
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local San Diego / California codes
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Required Qualifications

• Valid California Journeyman Electrician certification
• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial, commercial, and residential electrical work
• Demonstrated experience with 3-phase 480V/277V circuits
• Proficiency with motors and control systems
• Skilled in conduit bending and Unistrut assembly fabrication
• Certified or experienced in operating scissor lifts (aerial lift certification a plus)
• Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and blueprints
• Strong understanding of NEC and California electrical codes

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, or building automation systems
• Forklift or boom lift certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions
• Able to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
